ECO day with children Gozzano
Again Bisonte organised an ECO day with the local primary school at Gozzano near Orta Lake during spring 2015. About twenty kids of class six came to our Parco Luzzara on a rainy and cold day to help us collect the litter from the reed around the lake. Quite a job this time because there had been a serious flooding in autumn 2014 which had left an enormous amount of garbage on the shores, mainly plastic. Inspite of the lousy wheather it still was a nice and cosy day during which the children ,with the assistance of the “Protezione Civile”, carried off no less then 20 big garbage bags. Thanks also to their Sociology teacher Paola who further explained the importance of the very rare reeds for the special flora and fauna and how to keep them clean and healthy. Needless to say that also this time we had a nice Italian lunch “with lake view” accompanied with a very traditional dutch hot chocolate.
